専門は、近現代経営史（特に戦後アメリカ経営史）と経営学（特に企業戦略論）
「マネジャーの信念、近代経済成長、近代企業(または現代企業)の変容」を大きなテーマとして、研究に取り組んでいます。
現在の個人研究は、「企業成長の経営史 / Business History of the Growth of the Firm」の大テーマのもと、「コングロマリットの経営史 / Business History of Conglomerate Firm」、「スタートアップ企業の経営史 / Business History of Startups」という二つのサブテーマを、アメリカ企業の成長転換という視点から、研究してます。
共同研究では、電機産業、メディア産業・創造産業など各産業の発展と企業成長について日米企業を研究してます。
